Datum – A single piece of information

  • Example: A phone number

Data – A collection of information and facts for reference or analysis

  • Example: Student,Customer data

Database – A structured set of data held in a computer, especially one that is accessible in various ways

  • Example: Company database

Tables – A set of data values using a model of vertical columns (identifiable by name) and horizontal rows, the cell being the unit where a row and column intersect.

Entity – Are usually recognizable concepts, either concrete or abstract, such as person, places, things, or events which have relevance to the database

Attributes –   Is a specification that defines a property of an object, element, or file. It may also refer to or set the specific value for a given instance of such

Types/Datatype – Is a classification of data which tells the compiler or interpreter how the programmer intends to use the data.

  • Example: integer, byte, Boolean, etc

Relationship –  A situation that exists between two relational database tables when one table has a foreign key that references the primary key of the other table
